Project Description

Sendatsu Evolution

Sendatsu means leader or guide in Japanese, and Sendatsu Evolution refers to your transformation from being a bystander to your life to becoming the leader of your life. Sendatsu Evolution is a Yoga Alliance Registered 200 hour multidisciplinary yoga teacher training that empowers you to facilitate change in your life and to inspire others to do the same.

The life cycle of a leader is a four step process: Initiation, Cultivation, Maturation and Separation. Self-study is the thread that weaves each step together.

The process begins with your initiation to the program and the lifestyle of svadhyaya, or self-study, in order to tap into your innate potential and expand beyond prior self-limiting thoughts and actions. Initiation creates the foundation for cultivation of new information and tools that are rooted in the Yoga Sutras, 8 Limbs of Yoga, Anatomy & Physiology, The Chakras, Ayurveda and Ethics. Your maturation involves putting tools into practice, creating and composing your own classes that honor your authentic voice and message. Finally, your separation includes a graduation ceremony and redefinition of the leader you’ve become throughout the training.

By the time you reach graduation, you will have created a manual to guide your teaching, be able to teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restore and Yoga Nidra, and be empowered as the leader of your life and able to inspire and shed light on that potential in others.

We know that the evolution towards becoming a leader is difficult–if it weren’t, everyone would do it! We are committed to providing you with the personal and professional resources to support your growth. Lead teacher, Leah Zaccaria, is a Yoga Alliance E- RYT teacher, tax expert, and the owner of hauteyoga Queen Anne and shefayoga Roosevelt. Your evolution as a teacher is enhanced by working one-on-one with Leah as well as with her expertly trained teachers from both studios. Additional teachers include: Sarah Ilgenfritz, Kristen Klooster, Mallory Monahan, and Michelle Chambers.

Because this transition is undeniably life changing, we also offer access to your very own in-house life coach, Gail Hudson, to help you integrate yoga teachings into your life.

Training will be held on Mondays at shefayoga and either Saturday or Sunday at hauteyoga. Unlimited yoga at both studios during your training will deepen your personal practice as you cultivate the professional skills to become a fully empowered teacher and leader.

The cost of the program is $2,999. If paid in full by October 1st, you will receive an early bird discount and pay $2,799. A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your spot in the program. Tuition paid is non-refundable after the first day of class.

We would love the opportunity to discuss Sendatsu Evolution with you further. Please email us at!

Next Level Leadership Program

Have you recently graduated from a 200 hour teacher training program? Are you wondering what next steps to take in pursuit of your career of teaching yoga?

It is common to feel excitement paired with the uncertainty about how to dive into the yoga teaching profession. We are excited to offer the Sendatsu Extension Program: Next Level Leadership with owner of hauteyoga Queen Anne, shefayoga Roosevelt and Sendatsu Evolution, Leah Zaccaria and teacher and voice coach, Karina Brossmann. Building on the skills you’ve learned over 200 hours of study, Next Level Leadership provides opportunities to receive real-time feedback as you hone your language, voice and cueing; practice assisting; create themes that can be elegantly woven throughout your classes; develop creative and intelligent sequences; and delve into the business world of yoga, incorporating everything from ethics to taxes.

After this additional 50 hours of intensive study, you will be provided the opportunity to audition for a position on the sub list of hauteyoga or shefayoga, an opportunity usually reserved for teachers with at least one year of experience. This program qualifies as continued education credit with Yoga Alliance.
